I can't believe Summer Vacation has jumped up on us again -- so quickly, it seems. We're all excited, looking forward to our 3rd summer of
CAMP MOMMY: Me, The Mom; Z (boy, age 12); HK (girl, age 9); and T (boy, age 6). Dad, too, although he's back to work tomorrow as usual, after the long holiday weekend. We're on our own...
We got smoked out of metro Atlanta this weekend, after a full day of lung-choking smokedrift in the city from wildfires in S. Georgia and Florida. By late Sunday afternoon, we'd had enough and we bailed out to G'Ma & G'Pa's for an overnight in the N. Georgia "mountains" around Dahlonega, Georgia, which is about an hour north of Atlanta.
We had a lovely overnight, with a fabulous BBQ lunch in honor of Memorial Day.
We ended up leaving one child (Z, boy, age 12) with G'Ma & G'Pa, an unexpected surprise, which I hope will work out well for everyone. He's excited.
I will miss him!
