NASCAR Correction - Sorry, Jimmie Johnson

Oops, I stand corrected on a NASCAR stat, from my NASCAR-fanboy hubby: "Jimmie Johnson did win one race this season...Jeff Gordon [hubby's favorite] is "winless" so far, but not 'Angel Boy'** Jimmie Johnson." He won the Subway Fresh Fit 500 at Phoenix in April. He is currently ranked #5 in the 2008 Sprint Cup series standings. I hereby apologize to the rabid #48 fans.

** We call him "Angel Boy" because of a truly epic portrait of Jimmie Johnson, on display at The International Motorsports Hall of Fame Motorsports Museum at Talladega, Alabama. (We visited while on our camping trip to Talladega in May, so, really, who are the rednecks here?!) I think we took a picture of it when we were there. It's hard to describe, kind of like an Elvis on black velvet, but it's an airbrushed-effect portrait of Jimmie Johnson, standing in his Lowe's #48 NASCAR uniform, staring off into the distance (he has gorgeous eyes), very regal, but he is painted standing in the clouds, as if in heaven or something, god-like. It would make a wonderful memorial tribute, if he were dead, but he's not. We thought it was hysterical at the museum, just so...black-velvet Elvis. Very Talladega Nights. I'll have to see if I can post the picture up, so you know why we can't help calling this very-talented, by all accounts a wonderful person, two-time championship NASCAR driver, "Angel Boy." No offense.

Found it! Here's the "Angel Boy" picture:
