Day 1 - The Plan

I woke up, first day of Camp Mommy, at 5am, but stayed in bed until 6am. I am suffering one hell of a back ache, twinging muscle spasms. I think it is stress, and hormones. The spasms are actually very similar to 'back labor' during childbirth. It is not the usual spinal adjustment kind of discomfort. It's the first day of summer vacation and CAMP MOMMY, of course...
So, The Plan:
We were planning to keep it fairly simple today, for CAMP MOMMY Day #1:
So, The Plan:
- Get up and work everyday from 6 - 9am, writing and whatever else I have to do before Camp Mommy gets my full attention for the day.
- 9am - 10am: Morning meeting (very casual) with my campers on our plan for the day. Everybody dressed, kids help to clean up and clear out--Remember, the house is On The Market, and we've got to leave it in SHOW condition so it will SELL, hopefully very, very soon...
- 10am - 6pm (flexible): CAMP MOMMY adventures, on $100/week!
- 6pm - 9pm: CAMP DADDY!!!
(Of course, CAMP MOMMY is 24 hours a day/7 days a week, always on duty, but it is always nice to have the Asst. Director around!)
We were planning to keep it fairly simple today, for CAMP MOMMY Day #1:
- Go through the bookbags and school stuff that came home last week--all those papers!--save or throw away. Put the bookbags away for the summer! (Maybe wash them all first to clean out food and unidentifiable grime and grunge, the kind of science experiments we don't want to discover on the first day of school in August.)
- Library Day - We have books to return, and it seems like a good thing to do once a week, or every two weeks: We'll visit the library, see what's going on, check out a book each and a DVD for rainy/too hot or our own "wind down" days. It's FREE!
- Centennial Park - Revisit the great day we had last week, and take one of our friends down with us. Her Mom works right down by the park and will meet us there after work tonight for those 6:30pm, and possibly 9pm, water/light/music shows.
