Monday Motivation: 5 GTD & The Reward
Monday, April 16, 2007 at 12:08PM
It's going to take me a while to get caught up here in The Rebel Blog from my time away at WordPress.com, but I will transfer a few posts over every day, back-dating, until we're all caught up. This is a complicated business, this whole blogging, internet, eMompreneur, computer age stuff.
While I was out & about, I made a new friend in Wendy P. at www.eMomsatHome.com. [See WP Affair: Blogroll: eMomsatHome.com, if you haven't already.]
One of the things Wendy does on a regular basis is a weekly Monday Motivation posting that I have really enjoyed, and picked up on as a wonderful way to jump into the week and get things going. Basically, it's a "This is what I am going to accomplish today" list of goals, and, for Wendy, at least, the consequence of not accomplishing her GTD (Get Things Done) list.
I will say Wendy is typically a lot more ambitious than I am, and she puts some walloping big consequences on herself. She is a woman who Gets S*** Done, which is impressive.
Me? Not so much. Not as much, anyway.
I like to follow a Five Things rule (below), and commit to a Reward, rather than a Consequence:
